I've described all details of the problem on SO site: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18531598/typescript-amd-modules-cant-be-compiled

There are two files, and options to use AMD

// file x.ts
export class test {}

// file search.ts
import t = module('x');

The second file gives three errors:

Error 1 ';' expected. D:\Code\Search\Search\node_modules\search\search.ts 1 18 search.ts
Error 2 Module cannot be aliased to a non-module type. D:\Code\Search\Search\node_modules\search\search.ts 1 1 search.ts
Error 3 Unable to resolve module reference 'module'. D:\Code\Search\Search\node_modules\search\search.ts 1 12 search.ts

How to fix these errors or, other words, how to use AMD modules ?

You now have to use require instead of module on the import. Maybe that's your problem?
