VS outputs errors for open .ts file even though not marked as TypeScriptCompile

I have a .ts file not set as Build Action=TypeScriptCompile (set as None actually).
Yet when file is opened in Visual Studio 2012 the Error List window lists its errors.

Is this by design? Is there a way to turn off this behavior as I don't want Error List window pollution.

It looks like we're currently being overly enthusiastic about the files we're checking and we're currently checking files even if they are not marked TypeScriptCompile. We're looking into this. I'll also copy your comment over to a work item to keep track.
