Reverting back to The "isError" thing is a show stopper.

This version 0.9.0 is a big step backwards compared to the 0.8 release. Compiler performance is nearly unusable. Debugging doesn't work as expected anymore and VS2012 freezes very often. Typescript is great but this release isn't ready to be used for production. Stick with version 0.8 untill the major issues of this version are resolved.

give up, back to 0.8 now. Compiler performance is 1:1000 times slower compared to 0.8 . Do not upgrade from 0.8 to this release until this is fixed!!! Changed my rating from 4 to 1 for this release, VS freezes every few minutes, this release kills my work and changing code back to 0.8 does not make too much sense either. PLEASE fix the performance issue. Otherwise typescript is excellent.

Within a few hours I converted 266 JS files (600k) to TS and it compiled quickly and I can step through the the TS code while debugging and I found and resolved many issues. Only think is when I double click (VS2012 express) an error it opens the file but does not go to the line number.

This release added some hidden errors in the compiler. Even some plain typescript code (without generics) started to compile in the wrong way. look at the workitems 1246 and 1247 for example. Very serious old bug are not fixed - look at workitem 1245 for example. This release is unusable.

With release 0.9 giving us access to generics, Typescript is truly making headway as a great language to write web applications with. I wrote a blogpost about what generics are and how to use them if anyone is interested:

the best release until now, the plugin works perfectly and looks very stable compared to 0.83 although I had to make some code change. Typescript is at the moment the best web language on the market.
