Official VS 2010 Support for TypeScript

description

Right now, the only way to get TypeScript working on VS 2010 is to first install TypeScript via the .msi and then run the .vsix manually on 2010. Can we get some official support for TypeScript in VS 2010 and perhaps an .msi that is specifically targeted at VS 2010? Would love to get TypeScript going in a project, but my team isn't getting VS 2012 until early next year.

We're focusing on supporting VS2012 and later. We also support the recent Visual Studio Express for Web (http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/products/visual-studio-express-for-web#product-express-web).

Thanks for the suggestion - assigning to Jonathan who is managing our suggestions.

This has been closed, but no reason given. Does it mean we are not going to get support for VS2010?

We already knew that you were focusing on 2012. The problem is, a lot of us want it for 2010.

There will not be official support for VS2010.
