If I'm not mistaken, the currently active and non-experimental branches are
$ git branch --list -v
  develop       9d97385 Conformance tests
* release-0.9.5 f22a9d2 Update LKG

$ git describe develop
v0.9.1-1516-g9d97385

$ git describe release-0.9.5
v0.9.1-1474-gf22a9d2
0.9.5 has not yet been released (or is that meant to be the beta?), but is already divergent from develop. Which branch(es) do I need to follow, and how is that going to evolve during pre/release/post time?

I would have expected develop to have everything that 0.9.5 has but that does not seem to be the case.

Release-0.9.5 is very near to being done. You'll hopefully not see much more activity in this branch unless any 0.9.5 blockers show up.

Develop is where you will continue to see fixes and other work as we push towards 1.0. This branch isn't being "stabilized" yet, so you'll see a lot more activity in it.

Ok, then I'll stay on develop.

I was worried about the lack of LKG updates but I see they've just started again.

Thanks
